Widows and Orphans Gain a New Life with Discipleship and Business Startups
Persistent war and terrorist destruction has left widows and orphans with very few places to turn. But the Iraqi Christians reach out to help with the comfort of God's love in Christ, and practical vocational training and start up funding, so that widows can build a new life.
Half of the widows in the program are widows in the church, and half are from the community. During their year in the program, women gain literacy and vocational skills and receive a living stipend to feed their children.
