The children of Mali are in great need. One in eight will not survive their first birthday. Those who live are often abandoned–left alone or with mothers who have very little means to care for them. Their days are often spent begging for food, or walking for miles to get water. Girls on the streets are particularly at risk for abuse.
The construction of Noah's Ark Center was funded by SIS supporters and advocates to show the love of Christ by meeting the most basic needs of children for safety, food, clothing and medical care. The children also receive Bible training and tutoring in school subjects. Many can never attend public schools in Mali, because they have no birth certificates. We believe in helping boys as well as girls at the Ark. The boys come to learn how God values girls and women.
With your assistance and with the work of local Malian Christians, more than 50 children, most abandoned or orphaned, will receive care from Christian workers and experience God's love in a tangible, life-changing way.
